John & Felicia Anna - Owners of Adirondack Tree Experts

John & Felicia Anna, Owners

John & Felicia started Adirondack Tree Experts in June 1994 with one old truck and 2 old chain saws. Today, “Adirondack” is one of the largest tree care and removal companies in the Washington Metropolitan Area. In addition to it’s size, “Adirondack” is also one of the top rated/ranked companies in the Metro Area and is also one of only seven companies in the State to be accredited by the Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA). Accreditation is the Industry’s highest credential. John and Felicia are both Maryland licensed tree experts and John is also an ISA Certified Arborist, a Certified Tree Care Safety Professional and an EHAP Certified Arborist. John also serves as the current President of the Maryland Society of Licensed Tree Experts and served his country as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. Having been a pilot for nearly 20 years, John enjoys flying both fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft in his free time.

Bill is Executive Vice President and corporate Counsel for Adirondack Tree Experts. In addition to his legal responsibilities, he provides oversight, guidance, and direction to Adirondack’s management. Bill has more than fifteen years of legal and managerial experience. He is admitted to practice before The United States Supreme Court, The United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, The United States District Court for the District of Maryland and all State of Maryland Courts and is legal counsel to the Maryland Society of Licensed Tree Experts. In previous roles, Bill was a private practice attorney in Maryland. he attended the University of Maryland, where he received his BA with honors and Washington & Lee University School of Law, where he earned his JD.

Cory has been with us full-time for over 5 years now and began his term here at Adirondack as a Junior Groundsman. Being John’s youngest son, Cory has been around the business all of his life. He has worked directly under our Lead Foreman and received the best training possible. Since being appointed a Foreman, Cory has proved in numerous situations that he is the right man for the job. His skillset, work ethic, and desire to be one of the best, speak for themselves.

Shawn was there when the business first started in 1994 and often accompanied his Dad, John, in the field to learn the family trade. Having spent the last 10 years in full time Company positions, from Groundsman to Foreman, Shawn is now an estimator and has an unparalleled grasp of all tree related matters.

Vinny has been with us for over 9 years and is our Lead Foreman and Vice President of Production. In addition to overseeing all crew production and work quality, Vinny enjoys the distinction of being one of the most heavily credentialed Foremen in the industry. When you have and extremely dangerous or intricately delicate removal, look for Vinny to be your foreman.

Nate has been with us for over 10 years and he spends his days supporting the crews in the field with whatever they need. From log and wood removal to equipment transfers, Nate is there for the guys! Nate never shy’s away from a challenge and is always there to lend a helping hand wherever he can. His unique personality and intense work ethic are key factors that cause him to be so well respected by his coworkers. Nate is a United States Army Veteran.

Dan Miller

Dan came on board with us in 2003 and has served as our senior estimator since 2005. Having been in the tree care industry all of his adult life, there probably does not exist a tree related scenario that Dan has not seen. As a younger man, Dan spent most of his career as a climber and foreman.

Brian has been with us for over 12 years and oversees our District of Columbia operations, as well as all contractual and municipal obligations here at Adirondack. Along with maintaining these responsibilities, Brian will find time to assist anywhere he is needed, whether it is out in the field or inside the office. Brian spent six years in the United States Marine Corps and is a veteran of the 1983 bombing of the Marine Barracks in Beirut.

	Virginia “Ginny” Keller Accounting/Bookkeeping Ginny has been with us for nearly 8 years now and serves as our Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Clerk. In addition to these duties, Ginny serves full time as Felicia’s Mom, John’s Mother In-Law and Shawn, Jamie, and Cory’s Grandmother.

	Frank B. Carter, Jr. Facilities & Yards Manager MD Licensed Tree Expert #1229 “Franky” has been with us for over 16 years and is the guy who keeps everything in order at our three different facilities. “Franky” is also a former United States Marine who served his country during the Vietnam era.

	In Memory John “Roy” Lee Beloved friend and co-worker, Roy, passed away on November 17, 2008. Roy came to work with us as an estimator in 2003 after our acquisition of Bob White’s Tree Service and remained until the Summer of 2008. Roy will be sadly missed but long remembered for his kind and pleasant nature.

	Vinicio Morales Foreman MD Licensed Tree Expert #1360 Vinicio has been with us for over 10 years and has worked his way up through the ranks, starting out as a junior groundsman. Today, Vinicio is considered one of the elite foreman in the business, he poses unsurpassed knowledge and exclusive abilities that cause him to receive countless accolades from all who witness his endeavors.




	Luvin Martinez Foreman Luvin has been with our company for over 8 years and has been a foreman since 2009. As a foreman, Luvin has shown an uncanny ability to remain serene on the most challenging of removals. This poised nature and acute eye for detail makes him one of the best in the business.


	Troy Ireland Foreman MD Licensed Tree Expert #1880 Troy, John's nephew, has been with us for nearly six years. Having worked his way up through the ranks, Troy has a thorough grasp of our craft and is eager to apply his knowledge in the field. Troy brings the same discipline and focus to our company that he did as a Collegiate All-American wrestler in college.


	Justin Mulford Foreman Justin has over 6 years experience in the tree care business. Justin will be sitting for the Maryland Tree Expert Exam this spring and is our Junior Foreman.

		Andrew Beall Crane Operator Maryland Licensed Tree Expert #1864 EHAP Certified Arborist Certified Crane Operator #MCO 13-0125-215 Andy has been with us for over 2 years and is in charge of Crane Operations here at Adirondack. Starting out as a groundsman. Andy has moved up the proverbial ladder where he transitioned to crane operations over a year ago. If you have a tree that requires the use of our crane, look for Andy to be at the controls.



				Tim Boyd Certified Diesel Mechanic Tim has been with us for over 6 months and is responsible for maintaining our equipment and fleet of over 35 vehicles. Tim, like John, Frank and Brian, served his country in the United States Marine Corps and is a veteran of the Iraq war.
